David,

We just lost our prized field springer we bought from your kennel almost 16 years ago. We received our dog in January, we did not have any snow here in Madison CT, but there was several feet of snow in your part of Massachussetts. Our kids were 3 and 5 and don’t remember not having her around. My three year old will be a college freshman in September, I believe our dog hung on till both kids were in college, as we hoped.

I have never had such a healthy dog or one as smart. It was always a challenge to keep her mind stimulated enough to keep her happy. I never owned a field springer and thought she would come down in a few years and not require a several mile walk in the woods or on the beach every single day till she was almost 14 years old.

This dog would never quit and was going strong all those years. She had to go for a swim whenever there was water near and went for a swim in the ocean even in the dead of winter. She had her own quirky personality and I’ve had other dogs before but she was different.

This dog was a true athlete and although she finally slowed down in only the last year of her life she still required a walk every single day even on the last day of her life. This dog would just go and go and go. It just seemed like she had endless energy. It’s as if she could only run not walk, jumping, leaping and swimming non-stop. It’s as if she could fly.

We never trained her for hunting nor are we hunters but she was a natural and I believe would have hardly required much training, it certainly was in her blood. She was always great with the kids and strangers and truly the most wonderful dog I’ve ever met. Our family thanks you and and what you do. Your dogs are truly the highest quality, healthiest, and most loyal dogs anywhere, absolutely the best!!!
Sincerely,
David and Martha Dieli
