Finding a professional breeder and trainer like David Krassler of Citari Kennels is very rare. About 7 years ago, I began my search of the US and UK for an English Springer Spaniel to begin Hunt Tests and Field Trials. After a two and a half year search, I was able to narrow my choice down to a short list of breeders ( 4 from the US and 1 from the UK). David was among this list and the individual I ultimately entrusted to recommend a puppy from an upcoming litter. What appealed to me the most about Citari Kennel was the fact that David trains and competes with many of the dogs he places with clients. Thus giving him an opportunity to refine both his breeding and training program based on the 15 years of experience with his strain of English Springer Spaniels.
Through his articles published in various outdoor magazines and his well known retrieving demostrations, at sportsman shows throughout the Northeast, David continues to impress me. How liberally he shares his knowledge of dog training and what goes into the making of a world class field dog. David has since trained and competed in AKC Field Events with Citari’s Majestic Mikasa MH for the past three seasons and I have been nothing less than ecstatic with the results.
David has always included my wife and me in matters reguarding Mikasa’s training and made us feel part of the team Citari Kennel brings to various AKC Field Events. In short, I would recomend Citari Kennel to anyone interested in quality English Springer Spaniels.
