Jack Moriarty

I am recent retiree who is an avid upland game hunter and also a duck hunting enthusiast. Now that I’m retired I feel that I can put in the appropriate amount of time needed to care for a dog properly. I was interested in finding a breed of dog that would fit into my life style. I was looking for a dog that was easily trained with a good disposition that handled for the hunter. After being an avid reader of David Krassler’s column in “Northeast Woods and Waters” I decided to contact Citari Kennel to obtain information about his Springer Spaniels.

In our initial telephone conversation, I found David Krassler to be very knowledgeable and helpful. I was invited to inspect Citari Kennel and view the dogs. The line of Springer Spaniel that Krassler breeds really fit my needs. I wanted a young started dog. I was impressed with a particular ten month old male named Scooter which I later decided to purchase.

Scooter is a wonderful dog. He settled right into our household. He is affectionate, gentle and very willing to please. In the field he is a true hunter. He works within gun range, has an excellent nose, and a natural desire to retrieve. He takes to water like a duck.

In training Scooter, David is always just a phone call or an e-mail away. He always welcomes questions and is continually interested in Scooter’s development and progress. I recommend Citari Kennel if you are looking for a true hunting dog with natural instincts and a gentle disposition.

Truly,

Jack Moriarty
